Submission deadline for DMZ Korean International Documentary Festival

DMZ Korean International Documentary Festival (DMZ DOCS) is almost closing its call for submission for its 4th edition which will happen in September 20-26, 2012.

DMZ Korean International Documentary Festival (DMZ DOCS) is an annual festival for documentary films presented jointly by Gyeonggi province and Paju city. Held in a buffer zone, the Korean Demilitarized Zone, DMZ Docs 2012 aims to present documentaries with the themes of peace, reconciliation and coexistence and to promote the documentary genre as a means of communication. Despite its short history, DMZ DOCS is growing as one of the most important documentary showcases in Asia. Last year the festival presented more than 100 documentaries from 30 countries, around the world.

International Competition

White Goose Award : approx. 13 ,000 USD cash prize & trophy
Special Jury Award : approx. 6,000 USD cash prize & trophy
Audience Award : approx. 2,500 USD cash prize & trophy

Korean Competition

Best Korean Documentary Award : approx. 9,000 USD cash prize & trophy
Youth Competition
Best Youth Documentary Award : approx. 1,000 USD cash prize & trophy
Excellence Award : A voucher of approx. 1,000 USD
