“My Chinese Acquaintances” won the doc Gold Remi Award at Houston Int`l Film Festival

5Ai??documentaries from or about Asia won a number of top prizes at the 45th Houston International Film FestivalAi??on Saturday 21th April 2012.Ai??

Among them, “My Chinese Acquaintances” snatched the Gold Remi Award for documentaries. This doc was directed by Andrew Lone and Shen Xiaomin and produced by Yuezhong Film & TV Co (Shenzhen,China). The Houston International Film Festival, founded in 1961, is one of the three competitive international film festivals in North America, together with San Francisco and New York.

It is also the oldest independent film and video festival in the world. This year`s festival, which began on April 13, received about 4,000 entries from around the world.
