Some hours before Natpe opening, Venezuela’s Cisneros Group and Chinese state broadcaster CCTV have announced a deal which will foster the broadcasting of Venevision documentaries in Mainland China.

Under this agreement, CCTV’s Documentary Channel will create a themed Latin Week of programming which will show a selection of documentaries provided by the Cisneros Group’s global distribution subsidiary Venevision International.

On the other side, Cisneros Group will “secure a pan-regional channel to air throughout Latin America a collection of documentaries produced by CCTV.”

The deal was announced by LI Jian, president of China International TV Corporation (CITVC), CCTV’s international arm and Miguel Dvorak, president and chief operating officer of Cisneros Group.
