Japan’s Tsunami: Caught on Camera (1×60′) is a one-off doc from ITN that captures the devastating impact of the earthquake and tsunami that struck the country in March.

The film has been commissioned by Channel 4 in the UK and its specialist factual commissioning editor Tanya Shaw.

Executive producer Chris Shaw said: “The eyewitness film of the Japanese tsunami captured some truly apocalyptic images of the wave’s destructive power, much of which never reached our TV screens at the time.”

The programme will air on C4 in the autumn.
