Executives move into Beach House (C21 Media)

Singapore-based studio Beach House Pictures has hired two new executives to deal with its recently greenlit slate of factual programmes.

Roger Cheng is joining from Discovery Networks Asia, where he worked as a producer on more than 250 hours of content since joining in 2006.

He will take up the newly created position of content and business development director at Beach House.

Mashizan Masjum will join to produce a slate of programmes recently picked up by AETN, National Geographic and Discovery Channel.

Masjum has been a factual producer for more than 15 years, working on shows such as Border Wars and DogTown for Nat Geo. He has worked in New York since 2005, producing, writing and directing shows for production companies such as National Geographic TV, Optomen USA and KPI.

Beach House recently signed up with AETN Asia Networks to produce a new series of Hidden Cities for History Channel.

It is also coproducing six-part series Lonely Planet Six Degrees – China with Lonely Planet TV for Discovery Networks Asia.
