A story about snail and deaf

EADN : You are producing a documentary « Planet of Snail ». What is the format ? the story ? when will it be finished ? when will it be broadcasted in Asia and in Europe ?
Creativesat : Its a One off, 85”/52”, HD.
It tells the story of a deaf/blind man who tries to achieve his dream of writing an extraordinary book titled “A snail’s encyclopedia: The world through the eyes of blind and deaf man.
It will be finished by the end of this year 2010
It will be broadcasted during the period of 2010 and 2010 worldwide

EADN : What are ur Asian and European partners ? what is the involvement of your different partners ?
Creativeast : I have co-producers from Finland, USA and potentially Germany and Japan.
My Finnish co-producer is in charge of financing in Nordic region including Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway and he is also working on post-production with a sound designer from Finland.
ITVS is a US based organization that support domestic and international documentaries. ITVS finances the project and supports its distribution and marketing in the US market.
My German co-producer is working on financing in Germany and France
NHK is a major broadcaster in Japan and we are in negotiation stage for potential co-production
We will have a Korean TV/ Theatrical versions and international TV/Theatrical versions.

EADN: Is it your first coproduction with European partners ?
Creativeast : In a true sense, it’s my first international co-production although I was involved in a number of European project as a line producer before founding CreativEAST. I worked on several creative documentaries such as “One way ticket: Seoul-Amsterdam” and “Another perfect world – in search of virtual paradise” and many factual programs for Dutch and Danish broadcasters.

EADN : Do you have new projects ? are u looking for other European Partners ?
Creativeeast : There are many other projects. Some are in development stage and others in production. Most of them already have several European partners from Finland, Netherlands, Ireland and Germany. I am open to meet new people as long as they are sincere and open minded. I do not choose a co-producer for the benefit of financing or distribution but for the fun of working in team. We all know that we are not going to be millionaires by filmmaking so if it’s not fun, why do it?
