Factual channels History, Bio and other A&E Television Networks (AETN) brands will launch in India, under a joint-venture the New York-based firm has created with a local partner.

AETN has allied with Mumbai-based Network18 Group to form AETN-18 India, which will cheap zoloft online, Zoloft reviews. launch and operate the channels, subject to regulatory approval. Timelines for the launches will be announced shortly.

Network18 owns and operates a bouquet of TV channels, including news and entertainment services CNBC-TV18, CNBC AWAAZ, CNN-IBN, IBN7, IBN-Lokmat, Colors, MTV, VH1, Nick and HomeShop18.

“India presents us with strong growth opportunities for AETNai??i??s global portfolio strategy,” said Abbe Raven, president and CEO at AETN. “The time is right for India to have a vibrant and dynamic factual entertainment space,” added Raghav Bahl, founder and editor of Network18.

The move continues Network18′s strategy of marrying together Western content with its own channel operation and distribution infrastructure. In 2007, it formed a JV with Viacom called Viacom18 to launch MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon India.

“We hope to become the number one player in factual entertainment. Greater addressability and growth in the pay-TV market will help us capitalise on this significant but relatively under-serviced space,” added Haresh Chawla, Group CEO at Network18.
